I am seriously considering a sub. Talk me into one.
If there is a kit I just don't like, how is resale on her current endeavor (I know her older stuff is always in high demand). I love the tribe mini kit stamp set this month, too. So if I sub and don't buy a one off, how long until I hear from her to use the 15% off code in the shop?

Disclaimer: I love all things KP!
I have subbed since the beginning and have no regrets. I have not tried to resell any of the kits, but I know that they almost always sell out. I see them on the FB group PL Shop and Swap quite often.
I got the code emailed to me within about 10 minutes of subbing.
Subscribers also get access to the new shop update 2 hours earlier so the chances are you'll always be able to get any extras you want. Also, subscribers now get the digital cards for free with any of the subscriptions.

I really wish she had a stamp subscription. I love her stamps but I don't need any of the other stuff that comes in a kit.

Since this is all about KP, I thought I'd let y'all know TracieClaiborne interviewed KP back in April on one of her podcasts, Live Inspired. Listened to part 2 this AM while taking my son to school & found it so interesting. If you're a fan of KP, check it out.

I really love her monthly kits. I love that she's including printables of the cards for subscribers now too. The 15% code is sent out as part of your subscription confirmation email.

while I like her products ok, after the big brouhaha on the 2ps FSOT board awhile back, I refuse to give her any money.

I've been looking for a kit to subscribe to after the SC warehouse debacle and have been looking at KP's kit. But I don't want to support any unethical people either - can you describe what this issue was?

I was hoping to support another small business (although I'm kind of jealous that her small business empire allows her to travel so extensively, lol) but I am curious what all happened to see if it would impact my desire to subscribe.

I love KP. Her stamps are some of my most used for PL - older and newer. I don't know what the 2peas issue is, but I've never had a problem with her.
I signed up for her kit club for the 3 month cost and I'm only on the fence about resubscribing because of my personal budget, not because of my lack of faith in her or her company. Her customer service is spectacular.

I was around during KP brouhaha. However, I like her products and have received great customer service so I choose to purchase her stamps.

Oh no...what is it...I'd love to know because I'm leaning more toward subbing than not. If it's something that bring integrity into question that means a lot in my desire to shop someplace (at least, if I'm paying full price for it). If no one is interested in posting publicly, I can keep it private via messages. Thanks!! And to clarify, it was on the 2peas site, not here, right?

Okay...found it. Unless this Paper Tales owner person and KP are BFF's, I think the real douche in that instance is actually the business. From KP's comment (which I agree was unnecessary, but she left it there), it seems she ran tattling to Paper Tales and Paper Tales acted poorly.
Is this company still in business? With the gossip mill running like this, I would presume no.

Okay, while it was nasty and KP did start it and show no remorse, in terms of transgressions, while awful, I can't say that I've seen this type of thing occur since then. I'm leaning towards thinking it was a learning experience/wake up call for her and hope that she has done a lot to develop as an entrepreneur in the past couple of years. Paper Tales, though...as a business, that is unforgivable. I can't believe they are still in business after that.

KP and Paper Tales are on my "never, ever, ever" buy from list. To me, anyone who could possibly think that it was OK to publicly treat a customer that way isn't someone I would give a second chance. Their continuing behavior and obnoxious interaction with other posters was ridiculous. They never apologized. Nope - I have much better places to spend my money and whatever products they sell, I can certainly live without.
I am glad to see that so many remember the incident. Actually, I hope KP and Paper Tales see this thread as it shows that their unprofessional actions have had lingering consequences impacting their business.

Beyond the possible ethical issues (which I had no idea about until now...yikes), I don't think I'll ever subscribe to KP's kit because I dislike every 3rd kit or so. And they all start to feel pretty similar once you have two or three. I just make sure to check her shop early on release day, that way if I do love a kit, I snap it up in time.

That's how I feel about the stamps...this month I really love the cards, but not the stamp. The one for March (the oranges and teals with the scripty stamp) was awesome...I'm kicking myself for not buying a one off that month. I figure the sub cost difference I might be able to just sell off the stamp. I also like that some months (like the March one) are guest designers.

I'm done with Kelly Purkey because of that also. If I see something she came out with, I pass on by, I have plenty of other places to spend my money.

Yep, there are rarely style changes and i'm beginning to notice that the same colors appear every 2-3 kits. I have to say i'm kinda bored right now with the kits right now. I remember her kits and stamps used to sell out on release day, but i haven't seen that happen since February.

Internationals, beware. I just found out I will be paying $40 for shipping ($15) and customs (a 'nice surprise' of $25 upon arrival) for $35 worth of stuff (a kit and a stamp set). Won't shop with her again.

paperpilekitten Oh no!? Why? Does your country have a low threshold for total item value before any customs duties are asked to be paid?

Bummer (and now I have that exact word to stamp in my journal for today, because I bought the Bad Day planner stamp!

Actually, I hope KP and Paper Tales see this thread as it shows that their unprofessional actions have had lingering consequences impacting their business. ^^^^^^ Same here. Businesses (like people) will get away with what they are allowed to get away with (as SC shows us weekly). If Kelly had ever apologized and showed some public remorse, I'd feel differently. But sweeping it under the rug after publicly calling out a customer on a trumped up charge? Not OK by me.

Hi all, just wanted to quickly jump on here and address the old stamp issue that's being mentioned here. I know this is now two years later, but I do want you to know I completely own up to the fact that I handled the situation very poorly. I could give a list of reasons/excuses for my actions but it all comes down to being disrespectful and not completely thinking through what was happening in the situation. I am sorry for my behavior and will be the first to admit that I often make mistakes. Also because I did work things out with the original poster, I moved on from the situation and did not come back to address it or post on twopeas - which I definitely should have. She is actually a very loyal customer each month of my shop and I am glad that the two of us were able to work things out over email. I can understand how this has reflected poorly on the impression you might have of me and my business, but I do take a lot of care in my customer service and try as much as possible to go the distance for my customers. I think it is hard to read people's voices online, but I do hope you can understand I am sincerely remorseful over the situation. If there's anything you ever want to address with me privately, I'm always happy to open discussions. As for the kit design, yes the style and colors really do stay the same from month to month (similar to how Ali's kits all stay true to her style each month) and the thought behind that is that if you use them for Project Life your album for the year have a more cohesive look to it. I've been working with a lot of amazing guest designers this year to offer mini kits, to hopefully give you an alternative style if the monthly kit isn't for you. paperpilekitten I'm so sorry you had to pay a such high customs fee for your order. We do put the true value on the customs form because they are subject to random checks by the post office and it could lead to having items delayed even longer & slap me with a case of mail fraud. I'm sorry about that, I wish it were easier for International customers to shop.

I didn't think my post would get the attention from the designer herself, so that's really awesome! I appreciate you addressing the Paper Tales stamp issue as well. I have had you personally respond to me when asking questions on your IG and the way I see you communicating now didn't measure up to the comments on what I read in regards to that stamp debacle...which is why I had stated that I felt it was possibly a learning experience for you. Thanks so much for posting!!

I'm sorry about that, I wish it were easier for International customers to shop. Thank you for responding to my international scrappy shopping lament. The truth is that $35 for a stamp set and one small kit is expensive but totally reasonable (you have to pay rent and put food on the table, right? nothing to complain about there) and with international shipping of $15 it is pricey but still something to splurge on, once in a while. Not a problem. But adding the $25 for tax and customs is landing me on a total of $75 for a tiny stamp set and small kit, and it wasn't until I added it all up that I realized how much I actually paid for those two items. Yikes! I cannot justify it. Kelly, this is not your fault at all, and I adore your designs but there is no way I can afford your products. I'm sad. But I love that I now have a (super expensive) stamp that says: 'Bummer' and 'Bad day' to illustrate my feelings. LOL ETA: kellypurkey Really want to stress that I the stamp set and kit I purchased. I'm only complaining about international trade fees, really. Wish they would magically go away.
